Precise opening, sturdy packaging
So that cardboard packaging can be opened precisely and quickly without damaging the rest of the package or, worse, its contents, tesa offers special tear strips that make opening cardboard packaging considerably easier. Cartons that are partially opened can then be used as displays on supermarket shelves to promote sales and disposed of easily after use. At the same time, tear strips do not compromise the security or strength of the packaging, because as opposed to perforation, they do not reduce the sturdiness of the carton itself.
tesa offers the corrugated cardboard industry a full assortment of self-adhesive tear strips. All products can be integrated smoothly into the production process and can be handled even at high run speeds. Running lengths of up to 20,000 meters per roll help to minimize the down time caused by roll changes.
In addition, tesa opens up new possibilities for the packaging industry with easy-to-close packages, thereby also increasing consumer comfort and convenience. The tesa idea: The package for a shipment of books, for example, is equipped with two double-sided adhesive strips at the openings and closures. The first strip closes the shipment of goods securely for transportation to the customer. The second adhesive strip is protected by a special film liner. If the customer wants to exchange the goods, all he has to do is remove the second liner, close the package again, and send the shipment back. Returning an item couldn’t be easier.
