Environmental guidelines

As one of the world’s leading manufacturers of technical adhesive tapes for industrial clients and end consumers, we have developed binding environmental guidelines that govern our actions all around the globe:

1. When produced, used, and disposed of, our product and system solutions will have as little impact as possible on the environment.
2. tesa will maintain an environmental protection program on its own initiative and responsibility and will carry out the measures necessary to do so.
3. Laws, regulations, and conditions imposed by government agencies will be complied with as minimum standards.
4. tesa will continually improve its environmental management system and environmental protection technologies, in collaboration with government agencies, research institutions, and associations.
5. Avoiding, reducing, and re-using waste takes precedence over disposal thereof. tesa will conserve limited resources such as energy, water, and raw materials. Products and production processes will be designed with this in mind.
6. tesa will take preventive measures on its own initiative to protect the air, soil, and water from foreseeable accidents.
7. tesa will maintain an open information policy toward employees, government agencies, neighbors, customers, and suppliers.
