tesa® tape range for grip reinforcement in cartons

Efficient, flexible, yet attractive solutions for grip reinforcement in carton packages are gaining in importance in the corrugated cardboard industry: even when containing heavy weights cartons need to be carried safely. At the same time the grip reinforcement should not deface the design and must be simple to apply in the production process.

tesa now offers a comprehensive range of adhesive tapes to the packaging industry that allow grips in carton packages to be reinforced efficiently. The tape range offers tailor made solutions for all types of grips and packages.

The assortment comprises three tapes each for sealing and opening as well as three specialty adhesive tapes including products that have been developed for use in the paper and printing industries. All tapes are easy to incorporate into the production process of corrugated cardboard manufacturers as they are resistant to heat and require only short set-up times. Moreover, they can be easily positioned onto the carton, are easy to die cut and can be securely processed at very high machine speeds.

The tesa® solutions offer several advantages in both the production process as well as to the end user. The tapes are not visible on the outside of the packages since they are exclusively applied to the inside. And since they are reinforcing areas only that really need support, lighter board weights can be used without sacrificing the stability of the packaging. This opens up nearly unlimited options for new designs and imprints.
