tesa® Fly screen shutter system made of aluminium

With a wide range of fly screens for different uses tesa has for many years built a profitable product category in the consumer business that is also attractive for the distribution partners. As of 2004 optically appealing and durable aluminium framed fly screens are the focal point of the assortment. In this way tesa is supporting the clear trend towards systems for permanent mounting which show an over proportional growth.

The latest development in this field in 2005 is the tesa® Fly screen shutter system made of aluminium for windows and doors which offers top quality and functional protection in particular. It guards against annoying insects fast, effectively and in style. The complete system consists of the shutter cassette, a robust fibre glass fabric and is available in the frame colours white and brown. For production of the shutter cassette and guide rails only robust and weather-proof aluminium profiles are used: tesa offers 5 years warranty for the profiles as well as for the fabric and the plastic parts. The system sets priority on aesthetics and functionality through top quality materials: both windows as well as doors can be opened and closed securely and accurately and fit exactly.

Easy installation of the system is an essential advantage. The shutter cassette is already pre-assembled and can be mounted either in front or within the window reveal – the decision is not taken at the building supplies store but at home. Every pack contains a complete set of fittings plus an extensive and easy to comprehend installation instruction for both mounting alternatives. Also contained in the
pack is a practical helper for easy drilling: a small and specially constructed positioning device within the frame facilitates locating
the drill holes.

Starting from the standard dimensions for windows and doors the tesa® Fly screen shutter system can be adapted to any smaller format even by untrained home handymen: the shutter cassette
is clearly marked by a sticker indicating which side needs to be shortened. In addition to that any user can have the individual dimensions for adapting and sawing of the tesa® Fly screen shutter system calculated on the tesa® website. If necessary also the tesa® Service-Hotline is at disposal.

In 2004, the first year after its launch, the Aluminium Fly Screen system gained a market share of 26 percent in Germany according to AC Nielsen. In the same period of time the total market for mountable systems has more than doubled. In 2004 the market for shutter systems grew by more than 60 percent in the fourth consecutive year.
